Dentists’ Provident appoints two new board members

Dentists’ Provident, leading income protection provider for the dental industry, has appointed Rubina Fur and Alex Michael to its board.


The new Non-Executive Directors were appointed this month and are both dental professionals, who will strengthen the company with their industry experience.

Rubina Fur has been in General Dental Practice since 1999 and has previously served as a Member of the Dental Board at Dental Protection. Rubina holds a BDS from St Bartholomew’s and The Royal London Hospital School of Medicine and Dentistry. She also has a PG Certificate in Dental Law and Ethics with Commendation from the University of Bedfordshire.

Alex Michael has worked in general dentistry since 2003 and has been the Principal Dentist of a family-owned practice since 2005. Alex holds a BDS from University of Wales College of Medicine, a Master of Laws and a Diploma in Legal Medicine. He also practises as a dental expert witness.

The appointments follow the retirement of Martyn Green and Alister Weightman, who stepped down from the board in May 2026 after 15 years of service.
