As a not for profit mutual, we don’t earn profits for external shareholders. This means we can take a long term view and focus our energies and resources on delivering positive outcomes for our members.

For us it is never about price but doing what is right. We build our plans to meet your needs and then price them fairly. This way we ensure that our products remain financially sustainable and appeal to those who value quality and service dependability.

Our plan for you

Foundation protection plan

Designed for:
  • Students or training dentists,
  • hygienists, therapists
  • and technicians
  • Maximum cover (Student stage)
    Lump sum of £45,000
  • Maximum cover (After qualification)
    £1,750/month
  • Maximum proportion of income that can be paid as benefits (After qualification)
    70%
  • What the illness or injury has to stop you doing (Student stage)
    Permanently and irreversibly stop you from being able to complete your course
  • What the illness or injury has to stop you doing (After qualification)
    Your own occupation
  • Maximum period we will pay your claim (After qualification)
    Until you are 65
  • Waiting periods available (After qualification)
    Minimum of 4 weeks during your training. After your training, your waiting period will be 1 week but you can ask us to change it to 4, 8, 12, 13, 26 or 52 weeks

Making a claim


As you would expect from a member owned organisation, your interests always come first and never more so than when you need to make a claim. We understand that when you are unwell, complex paperwork is the last thing on your mind and our claims process is as simple and easy as we can make it.

Once you have completed your claim form, simply ask your doctor to complete the confidential medical certificate at the back and then return your fully completed claim form to us and we’ll take care of the rest. If you need help our claims team is only a phone call away.
