How do I become a registered intermediary?

To place business with us online, you’ll need to become a registered intermediary. Please contact our member services team for a registration pack.

What is your approach to claims?

We understand that illness and injury is difficult not just for our members but also their loved ones. That is why our claims process is designed to be as straightforward as possible.

Our approach to claims is driven by a simple principle – do what is right for the claimant and for the membership as a whole.

Although your client’s claim will always have a named claims contact, our internal processes are designed in a manner to ensure that annual leave, sickness or team changes have minimal impact on claimants.

We will keep your clients fully informed of the progress of the claim and normally we will inform them in advance when we seek further information from third parties. If you or your clients are unhappy with any aspect of our service, they can also discuss it with our Head of Claims.

What is your approach to underwriting?

We don’t conflate good underwriting with quick underwriting. By investigating and resolving areas of concern upfront, our objective is to make the claims journey easier.

If we need a medical report, we can request that immediately, as consent to access medical records is obtained as part of the application.

We regularly monitor the quality of our underwriting decisions through internal and external reviews. This means our underwriters continue to offer the best possible decisions with the information available.

Who can access the online system?

If you are a registered intermediary, then your firm’s principal user can register at anytime. They can also set up new users and create administrative users. If you have any questions, please contact our member services team.

Do you provide product briefings?

We are able to provide in-person and online coaching about Dentists’ Provident, our products and what makes us different. Please contact our Head of Intermediary relationships to arrange a session for you and your team.

What is your position on sustainability?

We recognise the importance of sustainability in terms of our responsibility to our wider stakeholders and good governance. The group regularly considers its own approach to sustainability at board level. For further information please see our latest annual report.

How do you support vulnerable customers?
